Chairman and CEO of Air Liquide Attends Davos Forum

On invitation of Mr. Huang Xinguo, Mayor of Tianjin, Mr. Benoit Potier, Chairman and CEO, and Mr. Jean-Pierre Duprieu, Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific Zone of Air Liquide Group, attended the 2nd Summer Davos Forum held from Sept. 26th to 28th in Tianjin.

On the afternoon of Sept. 26th, the delegation of Air Liquide, as one of the three representative multi-national companies in Tianjin Binhai New Area, was received by Mr. Huang. Both parties had a pleasant and fruitful discussion with each other. Mr. Potier, on behalf of Air Liquide, expressed his sincere gratitude to Tianjin Municipal Government as well as to Mr. Huang personally, for his strong support on Air Liquide's development in Tianjin, and particularly on the Hai Tong Da Pipeline Network Project.

On September 27th, Mr. Potier was invited to deliver a speech at one of the workshops of the Davos Forum, elaborating, as an industrial enterprise, of Air Liquide's view on the globalization of science and technology.

Davos Forum, also known as World Economic Forum (WEF), is a renowned international non-profit organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The Forum is held every January in Davos, a small town located in east Switzerland. Its attendees include high-level political and economic leaders, entrepreneurs and academicians from all over the world. In 2007, WEF held the 1st Summer Davos Forum in China, the first time outside Switzerland. Since its participants are mainly fast growing companies across the world, the Summer Davos Forum is also named as"the Annual Meeting of New Champions”.
