Nicolas Poirot, Air Liquide China CEO, nominated as “Wuhan Investment Promotion Ambassador”

On November 5, 2020, Air Liquide China President & CEO Nicolas Poirot was awarded the nomination letter of "Wuhan Investment Promotion Ambassador" at the Air Liquide China Headquarters in Shanghai. The heads of related Wuhan Government departments, Air Liquide China CFO Li Nan and representatives of business lines Alex Yao, Chen Xing, Jerry Guo also attended the meeting. Both sides exchanged in depth on deepening the cooperation between Wuhan and Air Liquide.
Wuhan Vice Mayor thanked Air Liquide and its people for their contributions to Wuhan's economic and social development, highly praising the company's essential support to Wuhan during the anti-Covid 19 period and the resumption of production after the pandemic. She emphasized that Wuhan enjoys a promising prospect and great market potential, and looks forward to further deepening cooperation with Air Liquide. "We are old friends. I hope Mr. Poirot will take on the new responsibilities as Wuhan Investment Promotion Ambassador, promoting Wuhan to more French and European companies and further contributing to Wuhan's economic development."

Vice Mayor and Nicolas last met at the "Event of Fortune 500 and Foreign-invested Companies Supporting Wuhan" on June 12 this year. Air Liquide China operates six entities in Wuhan, serving more than 800 customers in healthcare, electronics, automotive, food and other sectors. Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, is considered the economic, commercial, cultural and educational center of Central China. It has a population of over 11 million, and its GDP in 2019 exceeded 1.6 trillion RMB yuan.
